What Was Missing From My First Three Blog Posts

Months ago, when I reread my first three blog entries, I realized something important was missing: how the experiences impacted me. I went from explaining encounters in nature to giving advice that no one really requested 😊.
I considered rewriting the blog posts to share from the perspective of why the encounters mattered so much to me, realizing that it’s one thing to write an advice-giving blog and another to invite someone to walk through an experience with you. What I gave as advice was actually what impacted me the most in each of those moments.
Instead of rewriting each blog, I filled in the blanks of the experiences I had while visiting Costa Rica, experiences that I identify as my awakening...my reconnection to my purpose, passion, gifts, and talents...all the things I left on the back burner of life while life was life-ing.
It’s wild how looking at the "awakened" red-eye tree frog in all its brilliantly bright and colorful glory resulted in the creation of a self-paced journey. I remember thinking when I first saw the picture of the frog, perhaps influenced by a particular famous rap artist, that “Sometimes you have to pop out and show folks who you really are.”
That’s how Awaken Your Brilliance was born. And this is what fills in the missing pieces of the previous three blog posts while also creating space for reflection.
Because I know that there are others like me. Others who have, for whatever reason, hidden or buried their purpose, their passion, and their colorfully bright brilliance behind the understandable demands of life.
Perhaps that someone is you. Perhaps it’s someone that you know. It certainly was me.
I invite those who may have lost connection with their purpose, passion, gifts, talents, and abilities to walk with me through my process of awakening...reconnection to my North star...by hearing my story and using resources that helped me, along with others that I created, to reconnect you with you.
Because if there’s anything the world needs right now, it’s the light that you bring to it. Whether that light shines in your home, your work, your neighborhood, or your community...wherever you may be.
And that's what Empowered Legacy is all about.
Providing services and resources that support cultivating environments where people are valued, seen, and heard. And sometimes the first place that begins is within ourselves.
Over the next several weeks, I’ll begin sharing more about this work and the vision behind it.
